When Dhuckia grows up, she wants to be a boat-maker, like her Dad. But when he begins to suspect she is showing the early symptoms of leprosy, he must make a devastating choice.
Based on a heartbreaking true story, "The Boat" is made with The Mission to End Leprosy. We travelled with a crew to Nepal in late 2022 and over the course of a month, captured this emotional and engaging film. A co-production between Ireland and Nepal, "The Boat" will be coming to a festival near you in 2024.
